The Old Board Inn is located in the market town of Hawes, Upper Wensleydale, in the centre of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Perfect for a short relaxing break or as a base for exploring the many attractions within the National Park. We offer En-suite and budget accommodation.
Hawes: At the heart of the Yorkshire Dales the market town of Hawes can be found. Hawes has many, pubs and cafes as well alternative art and craft shops. It also has its own National Park Centre providing information on Northern section of the Yorkshire Dales. Hawes is most famous for producing Wensleydale Cheese (Wallace & Grommet fame) from local Wensleydale Cows. The Rope works and the Dales Countryside museum are also well worth a visit.
Accommodation: The Board has 4 double and 1 single rooms located on the first floor. All of which have been completely renovated over the winter 2009-10 period. You can specify which room you would like to book and a short description of each room is shown below.
Room 1. This is a double en-suite that can also be made up as a twin room. It is situated at the rear of the pub. This has been refurbished and includes an en-suite shower room, Oak beam ceiling and new carpets with a
Room 2. This is a large double room situated at the front of the pub looking onto the market place and high street. It has been completely renovated. With an en-suite, two seater settee, high windows and ceiling, this room is perfect for the family getaway. A kiddies cot or camp bed could easily fit in this room. A wall mounted flat screen TV with Freeview is available.

Room 3. This is a small single room linked to room 4 by an internal door so can be booked in conjunction with room 4 for a party of three, allowing the occupant of the single room to share the en-suite of room 4. It could also be used for a child to sleep in. Reduced rates apply to children occupying this room.
Room 4. This is a good-sized room with 2 large windows and a high ceiling situated at the front of the pub. It can be let as a twin or a double. It has been completely decorated throughout and has new carpets. The room has a hand made built in wardrobe and cupboards and a dressing table. A wall mounted flat screen TV with Freeview is available.

Room 5. This is a double-room situated at the rear of the pub. It has an oak beamed ceiling and new carpets. The en-suite has a bath and also has a pumped shower over the bath. The room has a hand made built in wardrobe and cupboards and a dressing table. A wall mounted flat screen TV with Freeview is available.
Dining: The dining room has been completely refurbished and has been turned into a snug. With a low oak beam ceiling, victorian fireplace and open fire, this is the perfect venue to have a family meal or just grab a quick bite to eat whilst exploring Hawes.
General Info: It is my aim that you feel at home at the Board and not an imposition as I have felt when staying at some establishments. There is no set time for breakfast I will do it for a time that suits you. Meals are served all day. WIFI is available through out the pub, if you do not have a laptop a PC is available for guest use. Washing and drying facilities are available for a small fee just to cover the cost. Pets are welcome with well behaved owners.
